ECUADOR – DEVALAR selected by ETEA Foundation for external evaluation in Province of Manabí Ecuadorof Citizen`s Projects.
09/03/2010 | DEVALAR European Consulting has been selected to evaluate the development Project: “Institutional strengthening and creation of local action groups in order to improve the social and economic development of the Manabí Province – Ecuador”, financed by Agencia Andaluza de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AACID) and promoted by Fundación ETEA para el Desarrollo y la Cooperación (www.fundacionetea.org)
ETEA Foundation is a university centre of researching and action in development and cooperation field. Its head office is in Córdoba. ETEA Foundation has work experience in Latin America, Morocco and Southeast Asia. Their experience in Central America and Caribe is large. Its work began in 1988 collaborating with diferent universities of the region (Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas” from El Salvador, Universidad Centroamericana de Nicaragua, Universidad Rafael Landívar from Guatemala and Universidad de la Habana). Recently it has initiated projects in Uruguay, Ecuador and Venezuela.
Last December DEVALAR was selected as the responsible entity for the external evaluation of the development project promoted by Fundación ETEA in Manabí, Ecuador.
The evaluation will be executed next May, it will include a 10 days in situ evaluation in order to collect relevant information in order to verify the results obtained and the degree of achievement for the aims initially formulated in the project’s framework. The conclusions and recommendations will be the result of a exhaustive analysis of criteria and indicators defined by different International Cooperation Agencies, such as the AECID and the AACID.
In its evaluation, DEVALAR will use the Logical Framework Methodology and the Management of Life Project Cycle methods as key instruments.
